Resend Attempts

Occasionally network issues could cause an email message to be undelivered. If a connection/network issue occurs Lead Liaison will attempt to automatically resend the email. Lead Liaison will make up to 5 attempts every 6 hours. In summary, over a period of 30 hours we will attempt to resend the email. 

Resends for Other Reasons

Please note that resend attempts for other reasons than network issues are done on a different schedule. For example, if an email address soft bounces Lead Liaison will make up to 5 attempts. If the message cannot be delivered after 5 attempts the prospect's record will be marked with a Hard Bounce.

Here's an example schedule of resend attempts due to network issues:

  1. Lead Liaison tried to send email campaign A to Prospect B at 1:00AM.
  2. The system failed to send the email campaign due to connectivity/network issues

  3. The system will try to resend the same email campaign A to prospect B again at 7:00AM [first resend attempt]

  4. If send fails then the system will try to resend the same email campaign A to Prospect B again at 1:00PM [second resend attempt]

  5. If send fails then the system will try to resend the same email campaign A to prospect X again at 7:00PM [third resend attempt]

  6. A fourth and fifth attempt will be made after 6 more and 12 more hours respectively. 
  7. If the fifth attempt fails then the system will not try to resend the same email campaign A again to the prospect B.
