Rummage is a challenging word search game. It is simple to customize and deploy. Rummage is a great source for your customers to learn more about your products and solutions, earn points, compete against the clock for high score, prizes and rewards.

This is the cover image of the activation as displayed on the Captello mobile device.

Play Restrictions

Here you can set the restrictions on game play. There are two options available:

Event Group: The user is allowed this many game plays across all activations associated with the Event. This total applies to any activation that has the Event Group setting enabled.

Individual: Limits the number of times this activation can be played. Empty or 0 is unlimited.

Mode

Leaderboard: Scores are sent to the leaderboard.

Prizes: Winning players receive a prize based on the prize probability configured in the Activation/Game. Leaderboards are not used in this mode.

Both: Winning players receive a prize based on the prize probability configured in the Activation/Game and their score is sent to the leaderboard.

Game Mode

• Stopwatch - A timer counts how long it takes the player to find all of the words. The quicker the player finds the words, the more points they'll receive. All words are visible.

• Countdown - A timer counts down. The player must find all words before time expires. All words are visible.

• Hint - All words are hidden. Hints are provided. This mode uses a time limit.

Number of Words

Number of words to find in the word puzzle. Number of Words must be between 1 and 10.

Time Limit

Time limit for the game in second. Only visible in Countdown and Hint modes.

Remaining Time Bonus Score

Points awarded for time remaining. Works with Countdown or Hint mode. Multiply this number times the number of seconds remaining to get the bonus score. This remaining time bonus score will be added to the total score at the end of the game.

Incorrect Word Penalty

Penalty when selecting an incorrect word. These points are substracted from their total score.

Hint Text

This text appears at the bottom of the screen in Hint mode only. It's designed to give the player a hint when finding the words. For example, provide the player with a theme or question that relates to the words they're trying to find.

Remaining Words to Find Text

How many words are left to find. Default: {x} words left to find!. {x} will be replaced with the remaining words. Only visible in Hint mode.

Correct Word Audio

Sound played when the player selects a correct word.

Incorrect Word Audio

Sound played when the player selects a incorrect word.

Allow Vertical Words

Allow words to appear vertically in the puzzle.

Allow Horizontal Words

Allow words to appear horizontally in the puzzle.

Allow Diagonal Words

Allow words to appear diagonally in the puzzle.

Allow Backwards Words

Allow words to appear backwards in the puzzle.

Active Status

Active Status is a way to enable or disable your activation. Settings are described below:

• Forever: Makes the activation accessible at all times.

• Date Range: Makes the activation accessible from the Start Date and End Date defined. If a player attempts to play an activation after the End Date then they will receive a message or get redirected to another URL as defined.

• Inherit from Event: Uses the Start Date and End Date of the Event Form. If a player attempts to play an activation after the End Date of the Event then they will receive a message or get redirected to another URL as defined.

• Inactive: Makes the activation inactive. If a player attempts to play an activation while it is inactive then they will receive a message or get redirected to another URL as defined.

Questions

Under here, you can add the words to be found in the puzzle. For each question, the following options are available:

• Word - Words should be between 4 and 10 letters. Smaller words cannot be part of larger words. For example, if.

• Score for Finding a Word - Score received for finding a word.

• Bonus Score - Additional score received for each word. The Bonus Score is reduced by the Point Deduction amount over the Deduction Period. The faster a player can find another word the more bonus points they receive.

• Deduction Period - Number of seconds that need to pass before the Point Deduction is subtracted from the Bonus Score

• Deduction Point - Number of points deducted for each Deduction Period that passes.

Style

Like other Activations, you can customize pretty much anything to include your own custom branding to the game. This includes custom Background Image, Logo, Letter style, Word style, Timer style etc.

Submit Button Background Color - Lets you configure the background color of the Submit / Play button on the lead capture form.

Submit Button Text Color - Lets you configure the text color of the Submit / Play button on the lead capture form.

Submit Button Text - The word or phrase that is displayed on the Submit button of the lead capture form.

Logo - Your company or game logo that is displayed in the top left. The logo will be scaled to height 80px on activations without prizes, and 150px on activations with prizes.
Recommended image size is 559 x 151px.

Background Image - Image file that is displayed in the background of the entire activation.
Recommended image size is 512 x 512px.

Background Fit - Gives 3 options on how to display the background image.

Background Color - If you are not using a Background Image, you can configure the color of the background.

Back Button Color - Color of the back button that exits the activation.

Letter Style - Font style and color of the letters displayed in the game.

Word Style - Font style and color of the Choose Words section.

Score Display Style - Font style and color of the score displayed in the game.

Timer Style - Font style and color of the timer displayed in the game.
