Ascent

The main character of this game is an underwater ship/submarine that you control to collect as many diamonds as possible to win points. You would need to avoid obstacles and take rest on underwater platforms to regain oxygen levels.

Settings

Cover Image

This is the cover image of the activation as displayed on the Captello mobile device.

Play Restrictions

Here you can set the restrictions on game play. There are two options available:

Event Group: The user is allowed this many game plays across all activations associated with the Event. This total applies to any activation that has the Event Group setting enabled.

Individual: Limits the number of times this activation can be played. Empty or 0 is unlimited.

Active Status

Active Status is a way to enable or disable your activation. Settings are described below:

  • Forever: Makes the activation accessible at all times.

  • Date Range: Makes the activation accessible from the Start Date and End Date defined. If a player attempts to play an activation after the End Date then they will receive a message or get redirected to another URL as defined.

  • Inherit from Event: Uses the Start Date and End Date of the Event Form. If a player attempts to play an activation after the End Date of the Event then they will receive a message or get redirected to another URL as defined.

  • Inactive: Makes the activation inactive. If a player attempts to play an activation while it is inactive then they will receive a message or get redirected to another URL as defined.

Mode

Leaderboard: Scores are sent to the leaderboard.

Prizes: Winning players receive a prize based on the prize probability configured in the Activation/Game. Leaderboards are not used in this mode.

Both: Winning players receive a prize based on the prize probability configured in the Activation/Game and their score is sent to the leaderboard.

Timer Mode

When enabled the game will run in Timer Mode. In this mode, a timer will count down. When time expires the game is over. When disabled the timer will not be used.

Time

You can set the game timer here.

Gravity

Gravity pulls the ship down making the game more difficult. Value should be between 1 and 100. 100 is the highest and most difficult level of gravity.

Ship Speed

Changes the speed with which the ship rises in the water. Ranges from 1 to 60. The lower the number the faster the ship will rise.

Bubble Sound

The sound that is made when the ship propels it's movement upward.

Emergency Sound

The sound made when the ship is hit by a rock or when time runs out.

Prize Sound

The sound that is played when the ship collects a prize (diamond).

Diamond Points

Points earned when capturing a diamond. Must be between 1 and 1,000.

Low Oxygen Text

This text appears when the ship is low in oxygen or fuel.

Objective Text

This text appears at the beginning of the game to explain the main goal of collecting diamonds.

How to Text

This text appears in the beginning of the game explaining how to push the ship upward.

How to Text 2

This text appears at the beginning of the game explaining how to land or throttle the ship downward.

Time Up Text

This text appears when time expires.

Style

You can set up Ascent in just minutes with custom colors, branding, background graphics, ship & diamond images, leaderboards and more.

Submit Button Background Color - Lets you configure the background color of the Submit / Play button on the lead capture form.

Submit Button Text Color - Lets you configure the text color of the Submit / Play button on the lead capture form.

Submit Button Text - The word or phrase that is displayed on the Submit button of the lead capture form.

Logo - Your company or game logo that is displayed in the top left. The logo will be scaled to height 80px on activations without prizes, and 150px on activations with prizes.
Recommended image size is 559 x 151px.

Background Image - Image file that is displayed in the background of the entire activation.
Recommended image size is 512 x 512px.

Background Fit - Gives 3 options on how to display the background image.

Stretch - Scales the image to fit the current screen resolution.
Cover - Preserves images aspect ratio, but crops the image to fill the screen.
Repeat - Repeats the image on x and y to fill the screen dimensions.

Background Color - If you are not using a Background Image, you can configure the color of the background.

Back Button Color - Color of the back button that exits the activation.

Platform Image

The platform the ship can land on to refuel oxygen. Recommended image dimensions: 258  pixels (width) × 75 pixels (height).

Particle Image

Particles or bubbles the ship leaves when going upward. Recommended image dimensions: 15 pixels (width) × 15 pixels (height).

Diamond Image

The object that is collected to win the game. Recommended image dimensions: 132 pixels (width) × 98 pixels (height).

Ship Image

The main character in the game (the player). Recommended image dimensions: 132 pixels (width) × 160 pixels (height).

Rock Image

Object that falls from the top during the game. When the ship hits this object the game is over. Recommended image dimensions: 280 pixels (width) × 270  pixels (height).

Wall Texture

Image tile that appears on the left and right side of the game outside of the swim lane. Recommended image dimensions: 245 pixels (width) × 248 pixels (height).
