Microsoft Dynamics (Standard)
Overview
The Microsoft Dynamics (Standard) integration allows seamless flow of Captello prospects to Microsoft Dynamics, both as leads and as contacts, tailoring to different needs.
Prospects can be instantly synced upon capture using Fulfillment Actions, automatically through Automations, or manually through Bulk Actions.
Differences Between The (Standard) and (Professional) Integrations
There are two different Captello - Dynamics integration packages, offering different features shown in the table below. Find documentation for the (Professional) version here: Microsoft Dynamics (Professional).

Connecting Your Dynamics Account
The following setup is needed for the integration to work:
An application registration on Azure (providing the Application (client) ID credential)
A new certificate to the registered application, to create a Client secret.
An API permission for Dynamics CRM to user_impersonation with admin consent granted.
From your Power Platform Environment (that contains your records) follow the steps below:
From the details widget, click 'From the ‘Security group’ selection, select Open Access > None.
Enable ‘Enable Dynamics 365 apps’.
Select the application registration created on the second step, select your business unit.
From the environment’s S2S apps, Create a new app user, to the created application, select the business unit and security role of Sales Manager, Salesperson, Sales Team Member (These permissions may be hidden if the security group selection does not include them. To edit your security group selection, ‘edit’ from the ‘Details’ widget inside the environment’s home screen).
Obtain the URL from the environment
After creating a new application and environment, the following credentials are needed to connect your Dynamics account to Captello
Application (Client) ID: Obtained by creating a new application.
Tenent ID: Also obtained from the new application.
Client Secret: Created on the new application.
URL: obtained from the power platform environment.
When entering the credentials on Captello, add “https://” at the start of the URL and “/” at the end.
The URL must be in the following format: “https://org123abc.dynamics.com/”
To connect your account, navigate to Setup> Integration > Connectors, and scroll down to Microsoft Dynamics (Standard).
Click ‘Add account’.
Once your account credentials are entered, click ‘Save’.
Once your account is connected, it will start appearing as follows:
You can add more accounts by clicking ‘Add account’ again.
Field Mapping
To map Lead, Contact and Account fields, click the drop-down button on the desired account and click the desired object.
To add a new field mapping, click one of the plus buttons, select Captello and Microsoft Dynamics fields and click ‘Save’.
Setting up a Sync Action (Capture Form Example)
In this example, a sync action is set up upon capture form submission.
From the capture form builder, click the setting gear button, then click Actions (Submission).
From the action drop-down, select ‘Sync to Microsoft Dynamics’.
Select one of your connected accounts.
Set up duplicate checking rules.
Select between checking leads only, contacts only, contacts then leads or leads then contacts.
Duplicate check can happen using the following:
Email only: Checks duplicates using only email.
Email or Name: Checks duplicates by emails first and then by names.
Duplicate Action
The duplicate action lets you choose what happens when you a duplicates are found. You can select one of the following options that apply when multiple duplicates are found.
Update most recently created record
Update most recently updated record
Update least recently created record
Update least recently updated record
Create Record Action
Allows you to choose between creating a lead, a contact, or not creating a record at all.
If creating a lead/contact is chosen, it will not create a record if a duplicate is found and updated according to the duplicate action selected above. However, if the duplicate check is disabled, a record will be created.
Logs
To view your sync logs, click on the dropdown on the desired account and click ‘Logs’.
It will display successful leads along with their success status, and in cases where a lead fails to sync, it will highlight the error that caused the failure.
Disconnecting your Microsoft Dynamics Account
To disconnect your account, click the dropdown and click ‘Revoke’. Then click ‘Yes’ on the pop-up prompt.
