IntelliScan
IntelliScan is an alternative lead capture method for events that do not provide a Developer Kit (API) for badge scanning. It allows users to scan attendee badges, primarily capturing the attendee's name and company, to retrieve their contact information and automatically fill out the form.
Enabling Intelliscan
A separate license is required for utilizing intelliScan. Please contact your Captello representative to activate it.
Once activated, navigate to the event designer (Capture form builder) > Click the “Scanner” element > “Scan Mode”
Choose “IntelliScan” to use IntelliScan only or “Both” to use both regular scanning and IntelliScan.
As an optional step, you can enable “Verify data” to review the retrieved data before submission.
How to Use IntelliScan
On the app, select “IntelliScan” and tap the “Take Badge Photo” button.
Note: Your setting/button names may vary based on configuration.
Take a picture of the attendee badge. This is a good vs a bad example for a badge scan that will return good results.
Note: Make sure to take a picture of the attendee's name and company only for best results. Don’t include any headers, QR codes, logos, or any other details in the picture.
IntelliScan retrieves the attendee’s data, such as name, email, and work phone, allowing you to review the data before submission.
Choose the scan method when the “Scan Mode“ of the “Scanner“ element is set to “Both“.
IntelliScan Manual Search
You can search for a lead manually by following the steps below:
Click on the ‘Magnifying glass'.
Enter the lead’s First Name, Last Name, Company, and Job title, and click on ‘Proceed’.
A success prompt will be displayed with the lead information.
Scanning LinkedIn QR codes
You can scan a lead’s LinkedIn profile QR code to get their contact information by following the steps below:
Click on the ‘Magnifying glass'.
Click on 'Scan LinkedIn QR Code'.
Scan the QR code and a success prompt will be displayed with the lead information.
Note: When the “Scan Mode” of the “Scanner“ element is set to “Both“ as shown:
The “Allow IntelliScan Manual Search“ toggle below “Enrichment“ needs to be turned on to allow both “Scanning LinkedIn QR codes“ and “IntelliScan Manual Search“.
