Using Pick A Winner’s Announce Winners Option for Leaderboard Winners
Overview
You can announce winners from a leaderboard using the Pick a Winner activation’s Announce Winners option.
Drawing Leaderboard Winner(s)
To draw the leaderboard winner, follow the steps below:
Navigate to Events > Activations > Leaderboards.
Click on the dropdown next to the activation and click on Drawing (Manual).
Choose drawing settings and click on Confirm.
Leaderboard Segments
Each time a winner(s) is drawn from the leaderboard, a segment is created for these specific leads with the date and time the drawing was done.
You can then choose to display all winners or display only the winners drawn from a certain segment.
For example, there are 3 winners announced for the Leaderboard as shown:
Choosing All will display all winners drawn at different times when launching the leaderboard.
There are two segments:
Segment 1 had 2 winners drawn, the leaderboard will display two winners as shown:
While segment 2 had only one winner drawn, the leaderboard will only display one winner as shown:
Announce Leaderboard Winners
After manually drawing the leaders from the leaderboard, copy the “Launch“ URL and open it in a new tab.
You will see a URL similar to the following:
https://captellogo.play.captello.com/Activations/leaderboard/index.html?token=SawxK07w2ajR3ap3s2g0mGZxj8Ae9kU&timezone=17&view_by=1 Copy the part after “token=” and until the “&“ symbol. In this example, it will be: SawxK07w2ajR3ap3s2g0mGZxj8Ae9kU
Navigate to the “Activations“ tab. From “Pick a Winner“ activation, click on the dropdown next to it and choose Announce Winner.
Copy and paste the Admin Launch URL in a new tab.
You will see a URL similar to the following:
https://captellogo.play.captello.com/Activations/PICK_A_WINNER/index.html?token=wj7cO6kdd2yJz1748309280&is_web_portal=0&prospect_id=0&adminAppend the following to the end of the URL:
1) for_leaderboard= and add the token from the leaderboard URL.
&for_leaderboard=SawxK07w2ajR3ap3s2g0mGZxj8Ae9kU
2) Then append &chunk=, and add “all” if the “Leaderboard“ option was chosen while launching the URL or add the chunk number from the leaderboard Launch URL.
The chunk number will be displayed after the token if the “People selected from drawing option“ is chosen.
The additional part to the Admin Launch URL would look like this:
&for_leaderboard=SawxK07w2ajR3ap3s2g0mGZxj8Ae9kU&chunk=all
The full Admin Launch URL would look like this:

Click “Enter” on the keyboard to launch the new URL.
Enter the passcode set for the Pick a Winner activation.
The winner will then be displayed after clicking on the bowl/hat/etc.
By clicking on the bowl again, a new lead will be displayed based on the number of leads drawn in the leaderboard.
