With the Account Engagement (Pardot) connector, you can seamlessly sync leads from Captello to a an Account Engagement (Pardot) account through our powerful Automations, Fulfillment Actions, and Bulk Actions.

Connecting to Account Engagement (Pardot)

  • Navigate to Setup > Integrations > Connectors.

  • Scroll down to the Connector labeled "Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (Pardot Integration)".

  • Select what account type you are connecting from Live, Demo or Sandbox

  • Click the “Add Account” button which will take you to the page to enter your Account Engagement (Pardot) credentials.

  • If you entered the correct credentials, you should see a success message as shown below.

  • Now, enter your Business Unit ID. Once done, you’ll see the success prompt as shown here:

Use the Add to Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (Pardot) action to seamlessly sync leads from Captello to Pardot (including to Campaigns and Lists through Automations, Fulfillment Actions, and Bulk Actions.

If desired, select a Campaign and/or a List to sync the leads to

  • Always create: Always create a prospect in Account Engagement (Pardot) regardless if the record exists or not. 

  • Update: Update a record in Account Engagement (Pardot) if it exists. If the record does not exist do not create a new record.

  • Ignore: If the record exists in Account Engagement (Pardot), do not make any changes to the existing record.

When used in an Automation, you can also add Conditions to the Send to Pardot action. In the example below we are only sending the Lead if the Prospect is marked as a VIP.

Action Needed: If you're forwarding multi-select checkbox data to Pardot form handlers, you will need to parse and reformat the data to match Pardot's expected format. This ensures that the data sent via webhooks is processed correctly by Pardot's form handlers.

Moving from Sandbox to Live

If you have been using Account Engagement with Demo or Sandbox, and are ready to change it to Live there are a few steps you will want to take.

  1. Screenshot or Make notes of what you have mapped, as once you revoke the account all mapping will be lost.

  2. Click the Revoke button to remove the current connection

  3. Change your Account Type in the drop down, and click to Add Account

  4. Once authenticated, go into Map Fields and recreate what you had in testing
